What a cool surprise it was to be asked to shoot those big dark rooms I already spent countless hours in… The lighting inside was kind of a challenge of course, but it turned out quite alright in the end I think !
The buzzing heart of Montreuil is filled with modern shops and buildings and right in the middle lies this surprising and classy restaurant, like a bubble in a different time frame. The chef Cristina managed to convey this paradox in her cooking as well, modernist and classic at the same time.

I may not be the biggest meat eater, that restaurant did nevertheless succeed to give me a craving for one of their enormous steak… But the variety and quality of the rest of the menu is what ended to convert me though.
My very first trip in the region was a true discovery. Visiting Dubrovnik during the low season is the only way to see it in my sense.. Bosnia was surprisingly beautiful and Montenegro might be small on the map, but don’t let it fool you, it is an absolute gem to visit in Europe !
This wedding was in 2 parts, the evening before in Meriem’s home for a big and busy pre wedding party in family in order to do the traditional moroccan celebration, then the day after for an 100% parisian and spanish celebration (and what better car than a genuine 2CV to carry the bride and the groom around the city ??)
Travelling to this paradise island to shoot this luxurious yet very eco-friendly resort was kind of a dream come true to me, it gave me all the more reason to give them the best images I possibly could.
The real challenge with such big buildings is to find the little thing that creates their identity, that shows the best what it’s like to live and work there.
As you can see, vertical was the way to go for those pictures of such a little coffee shop in the center of Harlem. But don’t let it’s size full you, once you tasted their delicious home made brew, you won’t crave for another Starbucks one ever…
