Scotland have been on my wish list for a long time, what a pleasure to finally discover Edinburgh and Skye Island under pretty much ideal weather conditions (I was indeed hoping for some dramtic dark clouds !)
It feels good to finally come back to the west coast after more than a decade (I studied in San Francisco a long time ago) but while knowing how to operate a camera a bit better than I used to (seriously, I cringe when I look at some of the pics I took back then…)
This is my third trip to the region so I thought I knew it pretty well already, I couldn’t have been more wrong ! I was so moved by the perfection of these mountains hidden under their white winter coat.. As per usual, I made friends with dozen of dogs, I can’t believe how friendly turkish street dogs are and luckily, in good health as well.
For so many years I’ve heard that the Canary islands weren’t worth a trip, were only good for super touristy beaches and resort, boy was I wrong, now I know better than listening to those misinformed know-it-all !
Since my wife is Taiwanese, I am honored to go rather often on this amazing Island and keep discovering new things to love every time. The food, the people, the landscapes… Seriously a real hidden gem of Asia.
I thought I’d seen some wonderful beaches in my life but evidently, nothing compared with the ones I discovered over there, oh my gosh, what an amazing place !
Venice is both a dream for every photographer and a real challenge to pull off some original views that you haven’t already seen on thousand of instagrams… I remember coming there one summer and leaving with a bittersweet impression, mostly due to the overcrowding I guess, but this time, coming and the end of the season, right after the floods provided such an eerie feeling to the place, I really fell in love with it
My very first trip in the region was a true discovery. Visiting Dubrovnik during the low season is the only way to see it in my sense.. Bosnia was surprisingly beautiful and Montenegro might be small on the map, but don’t let it fool you, it is an absolute gem to visit in Europe !
My love story with New York began way before I was able to make a semi decent photo… Ever since my first trip there, I’m always on the lookout for a reason to come back and feel like it’s my first time there over and over again…
I remember taking my flight to these islands portuguese without a single knowledge of the place, just trusting the few pictures I’ve seen of the place and boy was I in for a treat ! It felt a bit like discovering a little sister to Iceland in the south but without the swarm of tourists. Yet I felt like I only scratched the surface of the place when the time to leave finally came.
To be perfectly honest, I booked a filght to Sofia without having heard or knowing much about Bulgaria, I just wanted to jump into the unknown and make an opinion for myself. It might not be the most instagrammable place in Europe but it does definitely hold it’s fair share of beauty when you scratch a bit below the surface. I found a place with a rich history, interesting traditions, really friendly locals and an overall warm and exciting atmosphear
